Kerry Moynihan concentrates her practice on bankruptcy/insolvency matters and business litigation. In the bankruptcy context, Ms. Moynihan represents corporate debtors, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, administrative claimants, lessors, franchisors, shareholders and others in chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases. She has handled numerous bankruptcy claim disputes, preference and fraudulent transfer actions, cash collateral negotiations, stay relief motions, contested plan confirmations, non-dischargeability litigation, and bankruptcy appeals. Ms. Moynihan also has experience with court-approved mediation programs and out of court settlement negotiations. In addition, Ms. Moynihan has frequently represented lenders, creditors and receivers in federal and state court litigation involving loan defaults, judicial foreclosure, guaranty enforcement, lien priority disputes, avoidance actions, alter ego liability, fraud, and breach of contract.

Ms. Moynihan obtained her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2006. She has been selected to Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars List each year since 2013. She is a member of Orange County Bankruptcy Forum and the Orange County Women Lawyers Association and is actively involved in the California Bankruptcy Forum.
